Gov. Ritter has established the Jobs Cabinet to meet the challenges and fulfill the opportunities presented by a 21st century global economy.

For Colorado to compete nationally and internationally, Colorado needs a sustainable, modern workforce. Composed of statewide business and education leaders, the Jobs Cabinet will work with senior members of Gov. Ritter's administration to create that workforce by aligning the goals and needs of Colorado's business, education and workforce-development communities.

To take advantage of Colorado's great diversity, the Jobs Cabinet has been split into five regional subcommittees: the Eastern Plains, Western Slope, Mountain Resorts, San Luis Valley and the Front Range.

The Jobs Cabinet will be holding outreach meetings in these regions over the summer to review local efforts, recognize key economic sectors and drivers for the next decade, and identify regional issues and challenges in creating a 21st century workforce.

We look forward to working with you.
