Resources and Services

Presentations/Workshops - request or attend a workshop or presentation by census staff to learn more about census data and how to use it.

Regional Services - data services is a free service provided to you by the U.S. Census Bureau's Detroit Regional Office. We have experienced staff who can assist you with your data needs. Call, e-mail, fax or walk in with data requests.

Community Links - a variety of links that offer resources in the community.

State Data Centers - provide training and technical assistance in accessing and using Census Bureau data for state, regional, local and tribal governments and non-governmental data users at no charge or a small fee.

Census 2000 Release Schedule - Find out what data products will be available from Census 2000 at a glance. The data products described here provide a summary of the general tabulation and publication program from the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. The release data, type of product, and level of geography for which a product is available are provided.

Census Information Center Program - a cooperative program between the Census Bureau and 57 non-profit organizations that make census information and data available to the public and communities they serve. Please note that no census Information Center Programs are available in the Detroit region.

Genealogy - learn what information can and can't be obtained from past census records.

Federal Statistics - official statistical information available to the public from the federal government. Obtain information on economic and population trends, health care costs, aviation safety, foreign trade, energy use, farm production and more.
