Northeast Region, February 28, 2009
Print Friendly Version
Friends of the Western New York Great Lakes hosted their 3rd annual Fish and Wildlife Day at the LaSalle Sportsman's Club in Niagara Falls, NY.  At Fish and Wildlife Day, Lower Great Lakes Fisheries Resources Office Fishery Biologist Raymond Li gave a presentation on fish habitat restoration activities being conducting by the office.  Other presentations on sport-fishing and waterfowl hunting were provided by Jim Lorentz (former professional hockey player and avid fly fisherman), Dr. John Casselman (professor at Queen's University), Jim Hanley (local fishing guide and television personality), and Dave Tosetto (noted waterfowl hunter and DEC instructor).  Approximately 50 people attended this fundraising and membership recruitment event organized by the Friend's group and sponsored by the Niagara Tourism and Convention Corporation.
