Mexican Spotted Owl Survey Training

Shaula Hedwall, from the Flagstaff Suboffice, conducted training on Mexican Spotted Owl Survey Protocol for 30 biologists of the U.S. Forest Service (Coconino, Gila, and Kaibab National Forests), Arizona Army National Guard, Arizona Game and Fish Department, Salt River Project, Arizona Department of Transportation, University of New Mexico, National Park Service, and several consultants on April 22, 2008 at the U.S. Forest Service's Rocky Mountain Research Station and a field site on the Coconino National Forest.  The training involved a classroom component, and a late-afternoon/evening field outing to see and mounse Mexican spotted owls.  Cary Thompson and Henry Provencio, Coconino National Forest, assisted with the training and field outing.
