Muscatatuck NWR volunteers spent every weekend, and some weekdays in April, removing invasive garlic mustard plants from the refuge.

The "mustard blitz" by approximately 90 scouts, business employees, students, and individuals resulted in an impressive reduction in the number of plants in certain locations on the refuge and the elimination of visible mustard from the Visitor Center area.
