Invasive Plant Control Workdays
Midwest Region, March 24, 2007
Print Friendly Version

Wildlife Refuge Specialist Corey Kudrna accomplished two invasive plant control workdays  during March.

On March 10, five volunteers from Missouri Western State University worked on oriental bittersweet. They donated 30 hours and cleared and treated bittersweet in approximately a 4-acre area on the loess bluff foot hills.

On the 24th, students from both Missouri Western and Central Missouri State University spent 25 hours clearing approximately 2 1/2 acres of Illinois garlic mustard and cleared oriental bittersweet in another 1-acre area.

Both events were part of a funded Challenge Cost Share project at Squaw Creek.
