Dr. Roy Stein received the Silver Eagle Award to acknowledge his long and outstanding career of service dedicated to natural resource science and management.

During his 30-year career at Ohio State University, Dr. Stein has promoted science-based resource management through a unique combination of applied ecological research, a successful research partnership with the Ohio Division of Wildlife, mentoring students, and service to the Great Lakes Fishery Commission.

On January 25, Regional Director, Robyn Thorson, presented Dr. Stein the Silver Eagle Award at the Ohio State University Aquatic Ecology Laboratory's Annual Research Review.

The Silver Eagle Award is the Midwest Region's most prestigious award given to individuals outside the Service.
