Refuge Park Ranger Charlie Marshall attended a Wonders Of Wildlife (WOW) National Outdoor Recreation and Conservation School planning meeting, held at the Missouri Department of Conservation Discovery Center in Kansas City, July 20. 

WOW is designed to teach participants how to enjoy a wide range of outdoor recreational activities and is an annual event offering educational programs through selected courses and workshops. 

The planning meeting was held to coordinate the October 13-14 program event at Swope Park's Lakeside Nature Center. 

The WOW Museum and Aquarium at the Bass Pro Shop in Springfield hosts the program.
