Service Assists Minnesota DNR with Database Development
Midwest Region, August 28, 2006
Print Friendly Version

Ted Halpern, from the Minnesota DNR’s Lake Superior Fisheries Unit, met with John Netto, Green Bay Fishery Resources Office, to assist with the design and development of a new fishery database.

Netto provided some training on the use of Microsoft Access to store fisheries data, and provided guidance on how the database could be setup.  Additional discussions focused on aligning historic and current data, and importing historic data into the new database.

The DNR hopes the database will improve the efficiency of extracting data, and provide a single location for storing all of their assessment data.
