Eight new youth watefowl hunters and their mentors enjoyed a pleasant day and successful hunting on the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, during the Youth Waterfowl Hunting Day, September 16. 

The progam, which is in it's 28th year, is sponsored by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Minnesota Waterfowl Association, Delta Waterfowl Association,  Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and Capable Partners. 

Over the years, nearly 500 youth have been taught the importance of ethical waterfowling and the conservation of wildlife and their habitats.
