Region 3 Migratory Birds Participates in First Northeast Coordinated Bird Monitoring Workshop
Midwest Region, September 14, 2006
Print Friendly Version

The first Northeast Coordinated Bird Monitoring Workshop was held, September 12-14, at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Ithaca, NY.  Eighty-six bird monitoring specialists from throughout the Northeast and adjacent regions met to develop an organizing framework that will help states, federal agencies, and non-governmental organizations achieve their bird monitoring objectives.

Tom Will participated and helped facilitate several of the breakout sessions designed to identify major regional management or hypothesis-driven monitoring objectives.  Slide presentations given at the workshop will be posted at www.nebirdmonitor.org  before the end of September, and a full record of the proceedings will appear on the website on or before October 20, 2006.
