The Corpus Christi Ecological Services Field Office (CCESFO), with the Clear Lake  Ecological Services Field Office participated in the 5th meeting of the interagency working group.  This project is being developed by the Calhoun County Navigation District (CCND) through a permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  CCND is seeking to complete the development of an Environmental Impact Statement by the close of this calendar year.   The Beneficial Uses Working Group (BUG) discussed the components of the Habitat Equivalency Analysis (HEA) that is proposed for assessing and weighing the various alternatives of the project.  The HEA methodology is being adapted from that used for the assessment in the Lavaca Bay Superfund Site work.
