Journal Entry   Back Green Lake hatchery gains a new group of friends Northeast Region, July 12, 2005 Print Friendly Version Dennis Higgins, president of The Friends of Green Lake National Fish Hatchery, announced its incorporation July 12. The new friends group joins another at the Maine Fisheries Program Complex: The Friends of Craig Brook National Fish Hatchery, incorporated in 1996. To celebrate, the new group plans an open house at the Green Lake hatchery in August to offer tours and a variety of events for visitors. The two groups envision joint education activities on watershed habitat and endangered species, particularly on endangered wild Atlantic salmon and their habitat in Maine.
