Journal Entry   Back Regional Refuge Biological Program Publishes Saltmarsh Paper Northeast Region, May 23, 2005 Print Friendly Version The R5 Regional Refuge Biological Program has contributed a paper on the impact of fire on saltmarsh habitats and wildlife, to be published in Studies in Avian Biology. The paper was given at a symposium, ?Vertebrates of the Salt Marshes, ? held at USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, and will be part of a 20-paper SAV volume entitled, ?Terrestrial Vertebrates of Tidal Marshes: Evolution, Ecology and Conservation?, to be published this year. Other contributors to the paper include Dr. Pete Marra of Smithsonian's Environmental Research Center, The U.S.Geological Survey, and Northwestern State University. Contact: Joseph J.
