Southeast Region Environmental Education Projects Funded for FY2004
Southeast Region, October 15, 2004
Print Friendly Version
Southeast Region refuge partners will receive $67,000 from The Nature of Learning program. The organizations include Friends groups, school districts, and other non-profit partners. The eight funded projects will complement ongoing environmental education programs at ten southeast national wildlife refuges: Pelican Island, Florida Keys, St. Marks, Savannah, Clarks River, Carolina Sandhills, Sandy Point, Cape Romain, ACE Basin, and Waccamaw. Southeast Region projects represent 21% of the grants awarded nationally. The Nature of Learning is a partnership between the Fish & Wildlife Service, the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation, the National Wildlife Refuge Association, and the Keystone Science Foundation.
