Journal Entry   Back Four Partners Projects Selected for Funding Southwest Region, October 19, 2004 Print Friendly Version The State Committee of the Arizona Partners for Fish and Wildlife met on Ocotober 19 and reviewed 7 applications that were submitted for funding in 2005. Four projects were selected, totaling $48,801. One project will include Winslow High School where the Arizona Game and Fish Department in constructing a refugium for the threatened Little Colorado spinedace. A second project will enhance a wetland area that is utilized by several migratory birds in southeastern AZ. A third project will assist in completing livestock exclosure fencing on the Audubon Research Ranch in southern AZ. The fourth project will assist a private landowner in installing an elk exclosure fence that will protect the riparian area associated with Nutrioso Creek, a stream that contains Little Colorado spinedace.
