Training Module for Child Care Providers
The Secondhand Smoke Training Module for Child Care Providers was developed in 1994 by the National Resource Center for Health and Safety in Child Care (NRCHSCC) and the National Safety Council's Environmental Health Center (NSC/EHC). It contains information about the dangers of secondhand smoke, resources to increase your knowledge, and ideas for using the materials with parents, children, and your co-workers. The objective of the training module is to provide caregivers with information that can be used to inform parents about the harmful effects of secondhand smoke, and thereby reduce children's exposure in the home. The module is available as a series of nine Adobe Acrobat PDF files.
