Office of Real Property Utilization and Disposal

The Office of Real Property Utilization and Disposal is responsible for providing strategic direction and overseeing the development and administration of programs related to the utilization and disposal of federal excess and surplus real property governmentwide. This office provides the following functions to GSA customers:

  • Develops real property asset redeployment and disposal policy.
  • Provides interpretation or guidance on the policy.
  • Develops implementing instruction, tools and conducts training.
  • Partners with Client Solutions to develop national strategies for increasing property disposal's client base, establishes partnerships with professional affiliations and establishes national benchmarking standards to ensure that property disposal is “Best in Class”.

The Office of Real Property Utilization and Disposal includes the following divisions:

  • Real Property Utilization Division
  • Real Property Disposal Division
