Since its inception, EPA has recognized that domestic action alone is not enough to address environmental problems. Ecosystems do not end with our borders and public health and environmental challenges extend via the air, land and water making international cooperation an important aspect of EPA’s environmental mission.

Region 2 EPA works with countries around the world on topics such as waste management, air pollution control, sustainability, and clean drinking water.
