National Junior Ranger Day 2009

April 25, 2009

In 2008, the April weather was very winter-like outside, but on Junior Ranger day there was plenty to do inside.  A good time was had by all who attended.  Of course the high point for almost everyone was the opportunity to pan for real gold.  Once again in 2009 as in 2008 members of the North American Miner's Association will help kids pan for gold nuggets. The "Old Sourdough" will be back again with his assistant to let kids experience sourdough bread. New for 2009 will be the Notebook Art drawing station and several new scavenger hunts.

To commemorate the event kids can earn special Jr. Ranger badges, pins, and patches.
