Klondike Gold Rush - Seattle Unit National Historical Park
For Teachers

Education programs offered by Klondike Gold Rush park rangers require advance reservations.  Programs are offered from September through the end of May. We are now taking reservations for the Fall/Spring 2008-2009 sessions.   (Reservations Calendar)

Information about our programs and guidelines to help plan a visit to our park can be found on the Plan A Field Trip page or by calling the park at 206-220-4240 or by e-mail.

To heighten your student's visit to our park we now have Scavenger Hunt forms for you to download. Whether taking part in a reserved education program or just visiting the park on your own, these hunts let the students explore the many displays searching for their hunt answers.

Whether you are unable to bring your students to the park or looking for additional activities please look at these following curriculum-based lesson plans or activities.

Join our Team!

Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park is looking for both primary and secondary grade instructors to join our staff. These staff members will help the park's education group develop curriculum-based education programs that emphasize social studies, writing, mathematics, and science. These individuals will also assist in the running of several teachers' workshops to prepare other instructors for our education program makeover. For more information contact Tim Karle at 206-220-4240.
