Overview
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Hispanic
Association of Safety Professional’s (HASP) recognize the value of establishing
a collaborative relationship to foster safer and more healthful American
workplaces.
OSHA and HASP therefore formed an Alliance to provide HASP members the tools to
provide volunteer courses in safety and health, particularly in reducing and
preventing exposure to fall hazards, struck by, crushed by and electrical
hazards.

V. Upcoming Milestones
The group had floundered when the previous president became too busy to
participate in the monthly meetings. Meetings suspended and it looked like the
group would disband.
In June of 2008, one of the committee members rallied members and a new
president and vice president were elected. These two gentlemen have made the
commitment to grow the group to the point that everyone can attend, not just
Hispanic Safety Professionals.
