MAJOR RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interest is centered on applying the paradigm and methodologies of economics and the other social sciences to clinical medicine. Specific areas of inquiry include:
1. Determining how financial incentives, different payment systems and organizational changes effect access and the process and outcomes of medical care.

2. Evaluation of the above issues in relation to patients' socioeconomic characteristics and especially their effects on vulnerable populations, including those on Medicaid.

3. Evaluation of publicly released data on performance and other important aspects of quality management.
