ALLIANCE ANNUAL REPORT Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Nebraska Safety Council October 1, 2003 – October 29, 2004 |
|||||
I. Alliance Background Date Signed April 16, 2003 Overview This Alliance establishes an agreement between parties to promote and educate Nebraska employers about the value-added to business by voluntarily implementing an effective safety and health management system. The agreement also focuses on a number of goals including: Training and education:
10/01/2003 – 10/29/2004 II. Implementation Team Meetings The implementation team changes upon the departure of Jerry Dubyak from the Council in ~ December 2003. Mr. Dubyak’s replacement, James Klar, became the point of contact with the Council for this program. The Council had originally developed a series of “courses”, designed around the 19 Elements of VPP. These courses were only modestly attended and therefore Mr. Klar re-evaluated the course offerings. At the January 2004 team meeting he indicated that the Council was going to offer a re-vamped series of courses in the hopes of generating greater interest and participation. On a quarterly basis, we check to see if the courses are being attended, the number of attendees, and how they are received. III. Events and Products Training and Education Events:
V. Upcoming Milestones The Omaha Area Office will continue to support the training efforts of the Council as requested. The Omaha AO and the NSC will be evaluating whether or not to continue offering this series of courses, and whether a re-vamped version of training courses offered will be more successful than those originally offered. |
