  2. Results

Although antidotal in nature, results of our Alliance activities are as follows:

    • Training and presentations have been well received. In fact, individuals have expressed that the information has been extremely informative and educational. At the beginning of this “Alliance”, employers had been somewhat hesitant to approach OSHA to discuss their safety and health issues. Now, employers have indicated they are much more willing to talk with us and to call the local Area Office with questions to discuss various safety and health issues as they pertain to their respective facilities and/or site programs.
    • Although these sessions have had limited attendance, the individual participants represent many other employees at their respective facilities/establishments, including members of local township government, which OSHA currently has no jurisdiction over.
