ALLIANCE BETWEEN OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR THE REGION IV AND THE CENTER FOR THE POLYURETHANES INDUSTRY |

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) recognize the value of establishing a cooperative relationship to support and promote worker safety and health in American workplaces. OSHA and CPI hereby form an Alliance to provide CPI members and other in the polyurethanes industry with information and guidance, and access to training resources that will help them protect employees’ health and safety, particularly with respect to isocyanates. In developing this Alliance, OSHA and CPI recognize that OSHA’s State Plan and Onsite Consultation Project partners are an integral part of the OSHA national effort. OSHA and CPI will work together to achieve the following training and education goal:
An implementation team made up of representatives of both organizations will meet to develop a plan of action, determine working procedures, and identify the roles and responsibilities of the participants. In addition, they will meet at least three times per year to track and share information on activities and results in achieving the goals of the Alliance. OSHA will afford the opportunity for representatives of the Occupational Safety and Health State Plan Association and the association of state Consultation Projects to participate as well. This Alliance will remain in effect for one year from the date of signing and will be automatically renewed annually thereafter. However, either signatory may terminate it for any reason at any time, provided it gives 30 days written notice. This Alliance may be modified at any time with the written concurrence of both signatories.
