Cleanup Science and Technology
Many technologies and tools are used to assess, cleanup and monitor cleanups. Some techniques are innovative; others have been around a long time. The list below will link you to information about those technologies and other, more technical aspects of cleanups.
- EPA ReachIt - This
Remediation and Characterization Technology Database, sponsored by EPA,
is an online database with powerful search options for information on
treatment and characterization technologies, plus updated information
from remediation projects undertaken by EPA and other Federal Agencies.
- Clu-In - The Hazardous
Waste Clean-up Information (CLU-IN) Web Site provides information about
innovative treatment technologies to the hazardous waste remediation
community. It describes programs, organizations, publications and other
tools for federal and state personnel, consulting engineers, technology
developers and vendors, remediation contractors, researchers, community
groups, and individual citizens. The site was developed by the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency but is intended as a forum for all waste
remediation stakeholders.
- Site Remediation, Characterization
and Monitoring Databases - Databases related to cleanup technologies.
- Site Remediation
- Descriptions of cleanup technologies, technology selection tools,
vendor and developer support, technology projects, publications and
links related to site cleanup.
- Site Characterization
and Monitoring - Tools, policy, guidance, publications and links
about site characterization and monitoring.
- Technology Initiatives
and Partnerships - Efforts and partners involved in cleanup
technologies.
- Underground Storage Tanks Cleanup Technologies - Provides information on the UST approach and EPA and non-EPA links related to cleanup technology.
