NLM Herb Garden

The National Library of Medicine Herb Garden is featured at a new web site at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/about/herbgarden/index.html.

Started in 1976 as part of the National Institutes of Health's Bicentennial celebration, the herb garden showcases the healing power of nature. Benches are available in the garden for employees to sit and enjoy the lush variety of herb and flowers.

The Herb Garden is located directly in front of the main Library (Building 38) and is maintained by volunteers from the Potomac Unit of the Herb Society of America.
