For Visitors to NLM: New Security Measures

The recent tragic events have led NIH and NLM to institute new security procedures.

Driving to NLM

Only two entrances to the NIH campus are open to visitors: (1) Rockville Pike and South Drive, and (2) Old Georgetown Road and Center Drive. To help orient you, a map of the campus is at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/about/image/nih.gif

Subway service via Metro is very convenient to NLM (Medical Center Station on the Red Line).

Access to the NLM Buildings

All office visitors and library patrons must sign in at the Library's guard stations and provide valid picture identification (e.g., driver's license, passport, NLM library card). Visitors and patrons will be issued passes that must be returned when they sign out.
