Keyword Annotated Bibliography:
Whether it be for student research or needing additional background information, the Annotated Bibliography is the heart of the Resources section of Aliens In your Neighborhood.  The bibliography is a comprehensive list of resources covering a wide range of topics related to this curriculum.  Whenever the individual lesson plans refer you to the Resources page, this is the site you should use.  Each source is organized by keywords or themes, and each source (when applicable) has a link taking you outside of Aliens.
Note: Because of the size of the document, it is offered as a separate document that you can bookmark for future reference.  Please notify the webmaster if any links are no longer active or if there are other pertinent resources you would like to see added to the list.

Citizen Scientists:

Citizen Scientists need a wide range of information and resources, and the National Park Service invasive species monitoring website is up and running!! http://science.nature.nps.gov/im/monitor/invasives.htm

The site includes very useful information that should assist in the process of developing invasive
species protocols, justification statements, SOPs, and management programs.  Included are examples of guidelines and protocols being used by NPS staffs as well as other agencies and organizations. The examples range from detailed descriptions of random and systematic sampling procedures to effective volunteer and opportunistic programs. Other links (conferences, statistics, databases) are included for your benefit and are by no means exhaustive.

Invasivespecies.gov  is by far the most comprehensive website for a wide array of invasive species
information.
