8:45am SF6 Emissions Reductions through Recovery, Recycling, and Reuse (PDF) (47 pp, 859K)
- This training session will include simple and economical ways for field personnel to handle and re-use SF6. Topics of discussion will include a brief overview of the physical/chemical properties of SF6, followed by step by step instructions on how to properly test and handle SF6 during equipment maintenance. Additionally the session will address the internationally accepted purity requirements to allow the re-use of SF6, ways to eliminate SF6 handling losses, cylinder handling, transportation and personnel safety.
