Bob Landis - Bison

On February 15 at about 4 p.m. Bob was near the confluence of Soda Butte Creek and the Lamar River in the Lamar Valley and he spotted a couple of magpies riding around on the bisons' backs. Closer examination showed that they were picking things out of the bisons' fur to eat. To Bob's surprise one of them even picked around one of the bison's eyes a couple of times.
