Bob Landis - Thieving Coyote

Wolf holds animal hide after retrieveing it from a nearby coyote that tried to make off with it

On March 21, 2005 Bob Landis was shooting video near Tower Junction. It was an overcast day with periodic snow flurries. He saw a lone wolf, a member of the Agate Creek Pack, just a bit uphill from an old carcass that had been pretty much picked clean. The wolf spotted a coyote that was far too close to the carcass. The wolf began running toward the coyote who decided to try to make off with a large piece of hide. The wolf didn't like that idea and gave chase. The coyote decided to drop the hide to make its escape.
