Bob Landis - Coyotes Play with a Feather

Two playful coyotes nipping at each other

On March 12, 2005 Bob Landis was back at Blacktail Ponds. This time he spotted three coyotes from the Lava Creek Coyote Pack playing with a huge feather. He guessed that it may have been a sandhill crane flight feather due to its size. It turned out to be quite a great toy, at times leading to a three-way tug-of-war. Frustrated by its inability to get ahold of the feather, one of the coyotes grabs the tail of another and tugs at that for awhile.
