| A U.S. Navy landing signal officer with Beachmaster Unit 2 directs two 87-foot landing craft, air cushioned from Assault Craft Unit 4 to their landing zones to unload soldiers and Marines from Canada, Chile, Brazil, Peru and Uruguay onto a Mayport, Fla., beach during an amphibious training exercise on April 4, 2009. Assault Craft Unit 4 is underway with the amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) as part of UNITAS Gold, a multinational exercise that aims to increase interoperability among participating nations.
