Information for Contractors Regarding Asbestos (AHERA)
Asbestos Worker Certification:
Workers need to be certified by their state in order to perform any asbestos-related activity including: asbestos handling, operations and maintenance, asbestos project air sampling, asbestos inspection, management planning, project designing, and project monitoring.
To be certified workers must complete state-accredited training courses and pay a licensing fee.
