Statement of Yellowstone National Park Superintendent Suzanne Lewis on the Passing of Senator Craig Thomas

The national parks have lost a dear friend with the passing of Senator Craig Thomas.

I always found him to be a warm, gracious statesman who understood how important places like Yellowstone National Park are to the people of Wyoming and the world.

The national parks had no greater advocate in the United States Senate.  His commitment and leadership there will be sorely missed and difficult to replace.
