ARMY

Environmental Chemical Corp.*, Burlingame, Calif., was awarded on June 29, 2004, a delivery order amount of $150,000,000 as part of a $150,000,000 firm fixed price contract for hazardous, toxic, and radioactive waste remediation projects for both civilian and military agencies of the Federal Government. Performance location will be determined with each delivery order, and is expected to be completed by June 29, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on July 21, 2003, and 12 bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City, Mo., is the contracting activity (W912DQ-04-D-0017).

Hellfire Systems L.L.C., Orlando, Fla., was awarded on July 1, 2004, a $26,490,600 modification to a firm fixed price contract for AGM-114K2 and AGM-114K3 HELLFIRE II Laser Guided Missiles and AGM-114M HELLFIRE II Blast Fragmentation Warhead Missiles. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on March 24, 2004. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-03-C-0106).

Kellogg Brown & Root Services Inc., Arlington, Va., was awarded on July 1, 2004, a delivery order amount of $17,346,880 as part of a $61,888,251 firm fixed price contract for design and construction of an aircraft-parking ramp. Work will be performed at Balad Air Base, Iraq, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 20, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were ten bids solicited on May 22, 2004, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Winchester, Va., is the contracting activity (W912BR-04-D-0005).

Danner Shoe Manufacturing Co., Portland, Ore., was awarded on June 30, 2004, a $5,040,000 firm fixed price contract for 42,000 pairs of Acadia 8 Desert Boots. Work will be performed in Portland, Ore., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 12, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command, Natick, Mass., is the contracting activity (W911QY-04-F-0258).

Bush & Burchett Inc., Allen, Ky., was awarded on June 29, 2004, a $2,000,000 increment as part of a $14,514,708 firm fixed price contract for Redevelopment of the Town of Martin. Work will be performed in Floyd County, Ky., and is expected to be completed by July 15, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 32 bids solicited on May 26, 2004, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington, W.V., is the contracting activity (W91237-04-C-0006).

Komatsu America International Co., Vernon Hills, Ill., was awarded on July 1, 2004, a delivery order amount of $915,700 as part of a $7,119,320 firm fixed price contract for 16 Track Tractors (Bulldozers) with manuals. Work will be performed in Japan, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on April 20, 2004, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-04-D-B940).

Prestolite Electric Inc., Ann Arbor, Mich., was awarded on July 1, 2004, a delivery order amount of $425,010 as part of a $30,288,566 firm fixed price contract for Electric Engine Starters for the High Mobility Multi Wheeled Vehicles. Work will be performed in Arcade, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Dec. 15, 2003, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-04-D-0114).

AIR FORCE

McDonnell Douglas Corp., Long Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $12,000,000 firm fixed price contract modification. This change implements a contractor-suggested change to the initial concept for basing the C-17s Automatic Test Equipment that was established in the FY04 C-17 Globe master III Sustainment Partnerships Letter Contract. This initiative will deploy CATEs and related peripheral equipment to C-17 bases that had previously not been scheduled to receive them. This revised deployment concept will provide for more efficient sustainment support at these bases by reducing the number of spares and repair actions that had been estimated under the original CATE basing concept. The Air Force will be responsible for acquiring the balance of the additional required labor and material. This effort supports foreign military sales to the United Kingdom. Location of performance is McDonnell Douglas, Long Beach, Calif., and Pratt and Whitney, Cheshire, Conn. At this time, $6,000,000 of the funds have been obligated. The Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8614-04-C-2004, P00019).

The Boeing Co., Anaheim, Calif., is being awarded a $39,495,000 cost plus award fee contract modification to provide for the implementation of revised NSA Information Assurance security requirements for the Family of Advanced Beyond-Line-of-Sight Terminals providing enhanced information assurance. The modifications will be incorporated into 16 Advanced Extremely High Frequency Engineering Development Models of terminals for the B-2, B-52, E-4, and RC-135 aircraft and for ground-fixed and ground-transportable command post terminals. Terminal hardware and software will be modified to accommodate the Information Assurance Revisions. FAB-T provides the next generation of High Data Rate Satellite Communications using Advanced EHF, Wideband, Gapfiller, and other future satellite systems. At this time, $5,000,000 of the funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by October 2006. The Headquarters Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-02-C-0048, P00026).

NAVY

General Dynamics, Scottsdale Ariz., is being awarded a $6,986,299 modification to previously awarded contract (M67854-02-C-2052) for engineering design changes due to feedback from the fleet in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom for the Unit Operation Center (UOC) Program. The basic award leveraged the non-developmental item (NDI) and the Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) nature of the UOC components. UOCs are an integrated package of shelter/tentage, power, cabling, Local Area Networks (LANs) and processing systems. This package will host current Marine Corps mission application software, interface to current Marine Corps communications assets, require a Table of Equipment (T/E) vehicles to transport it to the field and present a smaller footprint than current Operations Centers when fully set up. Through an UNS the UOCs are being deployed in theater. This effort is for the preparation, refurbishment, spares and support of those units currently deployed. Work will be performed in Scottsdale, Ariz., (40 percent) and in theater (60 percent), and is expected to be completed October 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contract activity.
