NAVY

Lockheed Martin Corp., Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems - Undersea Systems, Manassas, Va., is being awarded an estimated $47,896,087 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-01-C-6237) to exercise an option for level-of-effort engineering and technical services in support of the Acoustic Rapid Commercial Off-The-Shelf Insertion (ARCI) Program. ARCI is a sonar system upgrade installed on SSN 688, 688I and SSBN 726 submarine platforms. Work will be performed in Manassas, Va., and is expected to be completed by December 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $17,246,861 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-99-C-2900) for consolidated design agent, planning yard and engineering and technical support for nuclear submarines. The contract provides design agent services for operational nuclear submarines and shore facilities. The contractor will update ship drawings and related data, which document ships configuration and deviations for operational submarines and also provide planning, scheduling and technical support for engineered overhauls/extended refit periods. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn. (82%); Newport, R.I. (13%); Bangor, Wash. (2%); Kings Bay, Ga. (2%); and Quonset, R.I. (1%), and is expected to be completed by September 2002. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

United Defense LP, Armament Systems Division, Minneapolis, Minn., is being awarded a $5,781,009 contract modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-98-C-5371) for the procurement of 39 MK 22 Mod 0 canisters along with packaging, handling, storage and transportation and reconfigurable coding plug assemblies for Japan in support of the MK41 Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Vertical Launch System Program. This procurement is for the government of Japan (100%) under the FMS Program. Work will be performed in Aberdeen, S.D., and is expected to be completed by August 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

AIR FORCE

Northrop Grumman Systems, Corp., El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $19,945,108 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for structuring upgrade programs for F-5 aircraft. The work is expected to be completed December 2004. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Solicitation began May 2001; negotiations were completed September 2001. The Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42620-01/D-0069).

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space, Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $7,709,823 modification to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for Defense Satellite Communication System III orbital support operations (fiscal year 2001/fiscal year 2002), which consists of satellite normal and anomalous operations and maintenance of ground systems. The work is expected to be completed September 2003. The Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-97/C-0042, P00044).

Niking Corp., Pearl City, Hawaii, is being awarded a $7,393,460 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for construction of a new enlisted club at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, consisting of four major components: a ballroom, a lounge, a JR Rockers sports caf and a fully operational kitchen serving the entire facility. The work is expected to be completed February 2003. There were three proposals received. Solicitation began May 2001; negotiations were completed July 2001. The 15th Contracting Squadron, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (F64605-02/C-0002).
