NAVY

Charles Stark Draper, Cambridge, Mass., is being awarded a $122,686,166 cost-plus-fee contract to encompass the following efforts: fiscal year 2002 tactical engineering support for the U.S. and United Kingdom MK-6 Guidance Program and guidance test equipment; tactical engineering support for investigation, evaluation and development of strategic programs alteration plans and/or special studies for the MK-6 Guidance System. This contract also includes requirements for the design, development and production of prototype hardware, screening of pendulous integrating gyroscopic accelerometers (PIGA), reclamation of PIGA fill fluid and life test of the MK-6 Guidance System. Work will be performed in Cambridge, Mass., and is expected to be completed by September 2002. Contract funds in the amount of $79,569,166 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00030-02-C-0006).

ARMY

Litton Systems Inc., Laser System Division, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded $11,460,000 as part of an estimated $22,920,000 firm-fixed-price contract for 66 Lightweight Laser Designator Rangefinder Systems and non-recurring engineering. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla., and completion is expected by Oct. 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 11, 2001. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-02-C-J003).
