ARMY

Modern Continental Construction Co., Cambridge, Mass., is being awarded $10,921,527 as part of a $20,957,253 design/build construction, cost-plus-incentive-fee (firm target) with award fee contract for Pentagon heating and refrigeration plant condenser lines. Work will be performed at the Pentagon, Arlington, Va., and completion is expected by Nov. 15, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on June 7, 2001, and two bids were received. The Pentagon Renovation Office, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (MDA947-02-C-0001).

NAVY

Charles Stark Draper, Cambridge, Mass., is being awarded a $13,275,573 cost-plus-fee contract to encompass the development of a computer-based integrated engineering environment to support the replacement of existing technologies due to aging problems with the MK-6 guidance system, inertial component engineering to address specific features of current instruments and alternate technologies for accelerometer and gyro technology, and monitoring of radiation-hardened technology, including stellar technology which is quickly disappearing and upon which the MK-6 guidance system was built. Work will be performed in Cambridge, Mass., and is expected to be completed by September 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00030-02-C-0004).

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space, Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $6,366,897 cost-plus-award-fee contract modification to provide for the reactivation and related support activities of Defense Satellite Communication System III Satellite A3. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. This work will be complete November 2002. The Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-96-C-0023, P00098).
