DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

McKesson HBOC Inc., San Francisco, Calif., is being awarded a $113,195,420 firm-fixed-price/requirement contract. The modification to the contract invokes the first year option period for the Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor, TRICARE, Region 9. The location of performance will be to various U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps agencies in Sante Fe Springs, Calif. There were 87 proposals solicited, and four responded. Period of performance completion is Jan. 27, 2003. The original contract was awarded Aug. 4, 1999, with the base year and a two 20-month option periods. Funds will be determined at the time of order. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting agency (SP0200-99-D-7040).

Lankford/SYSCO Food Services Inc., Pocomoke City, Md., is being awarded a $25,100,000 firm-fixed-price/indefinite-quantity contract for food and beverage support to Department of Defense and non-Department of Defense customers for U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps agencies in North Carolina and Somerset County, Md. This action is for the first option period. There were 140 proposals solicited, and five responded. Period of performance completion will be June 1, 2002. Funds will expire at the end of fiscal year 2001. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting agency (SP0300-01-D-2978).

AIR FORCE

McDonnell Douglas Corp., Saint Louis, Miss., is being awarded a $25,095,770 modification to firm-fixed-price contract. This action provides for 202 Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM) kits in the 2000-pound MK-84 configuration and 948 JDAM bits in the 2,000-pound BLU-109 configuration. JDAM is a strap-on kit with Inertial Navigation System/Global Positioning System capability that will provide an improved aerial delivery capability for existing 1000- and 2000-pound bombs. The work will take place at several locations, but the largest portion will be accomplished at Honeywell Inc., Military Avionics Division, Minneapolis, Minn. Air Armaments Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contract activity (F08635-01-C-0027-P00001).

BAE Systems Portal Solutions Inc., Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $49,854,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee (indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity) contract for system engineering, integration management and configuration management support for the Department of Defense Intelligence Information System (DoDIIS) and the U.S. intelligence community worldwide. This effort also includes technical support for the Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome, N.Y., to assist in the integration, testing and evaluation of DoDIIS Migration Systems. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than this amount. BAE Systems will perform this effort in Fairfax, Va. Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome, N.Y., is the contracting activity (F30602-01-D-0083).

ARMY

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Co., Oak Brook, Ill., is being awarded a $6,000 increment as part of a $5,547,100 firm-fixed-price, multi-year contract to lease one Cutterhead Hydraulic Pipeline Dredge, "Pontchartrain," fully operated with attendant plant, Mississippi River and harbors. The dredge will be used principally for harbor work at Hickman, Ky.; New Madrid, Mo.; Carruthersville, Mo.; Osceola, Ark.; Memphis, Tenn.; and Helena, Ark. It is anticipated that the dredge will be used for 30-45 days performing channel realignment work in the Mississippi River in the vicinity of Mile 771. The dredge may be used on the Mississippi River at any point between Wickliff, Ky., and Greenville, Miss. Work is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 10 bids solicited on March 20, 2001, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis, Tenn., is the contracting activity (DACW66-01-C-0012).
