DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

BP Energy Co., Newport Beach, Calif., was awarded a $43,682,283 firm-fixed-price/fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract for the delivery of 5,271,713 decatherms (one decatherm = 1,000,000 Btu) of direct supply natural gas to various U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies in southern California. Three companies were solicited, and two responded. Period of performance will be from Oct. 1, 2001, until Sept. 30, 2002. The Defense Energy Support Center, Ft. Belvoir, Va., is the contracting agency (SP0600-01-D-7628).

NAVY

Dick Pacific Construction Company Ltd., Honolulu, Hawaii, is being awarded a $13,836,000 firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of bachelor enlisted quarters at Naval Station, Pearl Harbor. Work will be performed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by March 2003. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value and to not exceed to $13,842,000. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 33 proposals solicited and five offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific Division, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (N62742-99-C-1330).

Lockheed Martin Tactical Systems, Eagan, Minn., is being awarded a $11,487,080 modification to previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract N0019-99-C-1275 to exercise an option for the procurement of one P-3C Anti-Surface Warfare Improvement Program (AIP) kit and installation of one AIP kit, including sustaining engineering and logistics services. Work will be performed in Greenville, S.C. (80%), and Eagan, Minn. (20%), and is expected to be completed by December 2002. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Smith's Industries, Product Support North America, Clearwater, Fla., is being awarded order 5017 against Basic Ordering Agreement N00383-00-G-002D in the amount of $10,953,341 for 21 shipsets (kits of varying quantities of encoder-decoder assemblies, encoders-decoders, and signal processor) to upgrade Stores Management System Marine F/A-18 AYQ-9 (V) retrofit program. Work will be performed in Clearwater, Fla., and is expected to be completed by November 2002. Contract funds will not expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00383-00-G-002D-5017).

ARMY

Raytheon Co., Electronic Systems, Bedford, Mass., is being awarded a $12,985,412 modification to cost-plus-award-fee contract DAAH01-99-C-0028, for FY01 Patriot Engineering services for the countries of Israel, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Japan, Germany, Taiwan, Netherlands, and the North Atlantic Maintenance Service Agency. Work will be performed in Burlington, Mass. (6%); Huntsville, Ala. (7%); Andover, Mass. (5%); Tewksbury, Mass. (65%); El Paso, Texas (1%); Bedford, Mass. (15%); and Orlando, Fla. (1%), and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2002. Of the total contract funds, $16,675 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Sept. 21, 1998. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

Fenn Manufacturing Co., Newington, Conn., is being awarded a $12,542,600 delivery order as part of a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a cumulative total of $33,827,780, for 68 rotary wing heads to support the AH-64 Apache helicopter. Work will be performed in Newington, Conn., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 13, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Oct. 17, 2000, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-01-D-0166).

Power Contracting Co.*, Carnegie, Pa., is being awarded a $5,993,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a Consolidated Area Maintenance Support Activity, consisting of 12 maintenance bays and an administrative area with associated parking lot. Work will be performed in Johnstown, Pa., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2002. Of the total contract funds, $15,500 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 22 bids solicited on Feb. 26, 2001, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Ky., is the contracting activity (DACA27-01-C-0019).
