NAVY

General Electric Aircraft Engines, General Electric Co., Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $399,936,740 modification to previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-99-C-1175) to fully fund the fiscal year 2001 full rate production of 78 F414-GE-400 install engines and device kits, eight spare engines, eight fan modules, 10 high pressure compressors, six combustor modules, eight high pressure turbine modules, eight low pressure turbine modules, and eight afterburner modules for the F/A-18E/F aircraft. Also included in this modification is the procurement of associated engineering support, support equipment, integrated logistics support, logistics support analysis, technical manuals, training and training equipment. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass. (58%); Evendale, Ohio (25%); Rutland, Vt. (4%); Albuquerque, N.M. (4%); Madisonville, Ky. (4%); Hooksett, N.H. (3%) and Wilmington, N.C. (2%), and is expected to be completed by June 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Raytheon Co., Electronics Systems, Goleta, Calif., is being awarded a $40,819,380 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-00-C-0226) to exercise an option for the procurement of 42 AN/ALR-67(V)3 Countermeasures Receiver Sets third full rate production. Work will be performed in Goleta, Calif., and is expected to be completed by December 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

S & M Sakamoto, Inc.*, Pearl City, Hawaii, is being awarded a $20,511,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a training facility for Sea, Air Land (SEAL) Delivery Vehicle Team One and the design and construction of SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team Dry Deck Shelter Operations Facility at Pearl City Peninsula. The total contract amount is not to exceed $20,536,200 (base item and one option). Work will be performed in Pearl City Peninsula, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by June 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 36 proposals solicited and six offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific Division, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (N62742-99-C-1305).

Scientific Research Corp., Atlanta, Ga., is being awarded a $9,523,256 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) Charleston. This contract will provide program management, systems engineering, and production integration/testing services for Cryptologic and Information Warfare Exploitation Systems in support of SSC Charleston Code 71. This contract includes options, which if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $29,923,286. Work will be performed in Charleston, S.C. (50%), at various U.S. government activities around the world (50%), and is expected to be completed by May 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured through the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command electronic commerce web site and Commerce Business Daily, with three offers received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Charleston, SC, is the contracting activity (N65236-01-D-7830).

ARMY

Telephonics, Huntington, N.Y., is being awarded a firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with an estimated cumulative total of $25,000,000, for intercommunications systems production and repair. An appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order. Work will be performed in Huntington, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2006. This is a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 13, 2001. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-01-D-A612).

Reliable Mechanical Inc., Louisville, Ky., is being awarded a $13,006,326 firm-fixed-price contract to replace the hydrant fuel system, provide a pressurized hydrant fuel system with one 152 liter-per-second pump house, 12 hydrant fuel outlets, two 3.975 kiloliter storage tanks, truck hillstand, unloading stations, transfer pipeline, and all associated equipment and facilities. The contractor will install an emergency diesel generator and demolish four existing hydrant systems and underground storage tanks. Work will be performed at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 19, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 177 bids solicited on Feb. 1, 2001, and five bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Ala., is the contracting activity (DACA01-01-C-0014).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

King Fisher Marine Service Inc., Port Lavaca, Texas, is being awarded a $50,000 increment as part of a $7,845,380 (base year total) firm-fixed-price contract with a cumulative total of $8,874,975 if all options are exercised. The work consists of removal of approximately 1,758,000 cubic yards of dredged material comprised of maintenance material from 85,000 feet of project channel with variable widths of 125 to 235 feet to required depths of 14 and 16 feet (below mean low tide) and two feet of allowable over-depth. The material will be disposed of in open water, confined and partially confined placement areas. Two new beneficial use sites will be constructed and material placed within these sites. The beneficial use site will be constructed with a rock breakwater and containment levees and beneficial use site D will be constructed of geotubes filled with sand and containment levees. Work will be performed in Calhoun County, Texas (50%), and Aransas County, Texas (50%), and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 45 bids solicited on Feb. 23, 2001, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston, Texas, is the contracting activity (DACW64-01-C-0019).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Hunter Manufacturing Co.*, Solon, Ohio, was awarded on April 26, 2001, a $6,508,890 firm-fixed-price, indefinite quantity contract, for space convective heaters. Six proposals were solicited and one response was received. Work is expected to be completed by April 26, 2003. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa. is the contracting activity (SP0500-01-D-0124).

AIR FORCE

McDonnell Douglas Corp., Long Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $5,956,950 modification firm-fixed-price (75%) cost-plus-award fee (25%) contract to provide for performance of the flexible sustainment effort supporting the C-17 aircraft. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-01-C-2002, P00016).
