NAVY

McDonnell Douglas, St. Louis, Mo., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Co., is being awarded an estimated $251,920,440 two-year performance-based logistics contract to provide full logistics support of approximately 850 components unique to F/A-18 E/F aircraft. Some examples of components being procured and supported include servocylinders, valve assemblies and circuit card assemblies. The contract contains options which, if exercised, will bring the cumulative value of this contract to a potential value of $770,000,000. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo., and is expected to be completed by September 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00383-01-D-001H)

Raytheon Aerospace Co., Madison, Miss., is being awarded a $6,999,962 modification to previously awarded firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00019-00-D-0272) for the procurement of 18 flight safety upgrade kits for the C-12 aircraft to include traffic alert and collision avoidance system, enhanced ground proximity warning system, weather radar and radar altimeter system kits. In addition, 78 commercial and 78 Navy-unique C-12 maintenance manuals will be procured. Work will be performed in Wichita, Kan. (75%), and Madison, Miss. (25%), and is expected to be completed by July 2002. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

AIR FORCE

BTG Inc., Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $53,096,806 (estimated) cost-plus-award fee contract to provide for four information management commander-in-chief sites in support of the integrated broadcast services. At this time, $13,028,000 of the funds have been obligated. There were 413 users registered for information on the Hanscom Electronic Bulletin Board, and three proposals were received. The work is expected to be completed by January 2009. Solicitation began November 2000; negotiations were completed April 2001. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-01-C-0033).

DEFENSE COMMISSARY AGENCY

Palama Meats, Kapolei, Hawaii, has been awarded an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity type contract for an estimated $8,718,850 to provide fresh beef for delivery to Defense Commissary Agency commissary stores in Hawaii. Ground beef will be produced at Palama's facilities in Hawaii. Palama will obtain the remainder of the fresh beef from producers in the continental United States. The contract completion date is May 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 21 firms solicited, and four proposals received. The contracting activity is the Defense Commissary Agency, Subsistence Contracting Division, Hopewell, Va. (DECA02-01-D-0008)

CORRECTION

The correct award amount for contract SP0600-01-D-4513, announced on May 4, 2001, is $7,700,657.
