DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Owens & Minor Corp., Glen Allen, Va., is being awarded a $6,069,500 modified-requirements contract for medical and surgical supplies under the Prime Vendor program. Work will be performed in Livermore, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 28, 1999. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO200-96-D-7125).

Idemitsu Apollo Corporation, New York, N.Y., is being awarded a $20,489,044 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for naval distillate fuel. Seventy-seven proposals were solicited and seven were received. Work will be performed in an overseas location and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SPO600-97-D-0525).

NAVY

Raytheon Company, Sudbury, Mass., is being awarded an $7,666,537 cost-plus-fixed-fee, level-of-effort contract for 85,882 man-hours of technical production support engineering services for the SPY-1D, SPY-1D(V), and MK99 transmitters. These transmitters are major subsystems of the AEGIS weapons systems. This contract contains four options which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $45,380,795. Work will be performed in Sudbury, Mass. (90%) and Andover, Mass. (10%), and is expected to be completed in July 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

AIR FORCE

McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $6,654,511 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for design and construction of 50 units of military family housing at Lackland AFB, Texas. There were 66 firms solicited and 5 proposals received. Solicitation began December 1997; negotiations were completed June 1998. The work will be completed

September 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Human Systems Center, Brooks AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41622-98/C-0016).

TRW, Inc., Redondo Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $10,214,865 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for design and long lead materials for the Uncooled Resonator effort in support of the Space-Based Laser program. This effort seeks to demonstrate the feasibility of a resonator comprised of low-absorption materials. The resonator is a component that deflects the beam and directs it to the front of the laser. The work will be completed November 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (SDIO84-92/C-0002, P00044).

ARMY

Raytheon Co., Electronic Systems Division, Bedford, Mass., is being awarded a $29,075,411 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for Classification, Discrimination, and Identification Phase III (CD13) for the PATRIOT system. Work will be performed in Andover, Mass. (35%); Waltham, Mass. (31%); Sudbury, Mass. (15%); Tewksbury, Mass. (10%); Quincy, Mass. (5%); and Bedford, Mass. (4%), and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 24, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-95-C-0446).
