ARMY

Lockheed Martin Corp., Huntsville, Ala., was awarded on June 30, 1998, a $437,859 delivery order amount as part of a $9,988,965 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract. The Threat Simulator Management Office of the U.S. Army Project Manager for Instrumentation, Targets, and Threat Simulators (PMITTS) has a requirement for analysis and simulator development in support of Air Defense Threat Simulators (ADTS). This procurement will provide analysis, design, fabrication, production, and support of test and support equipment used in developing, monitoring, and sustainment of threat simulators. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala. (55%); and Santa Ana, Calif. (45%), and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 5, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-98-D-A002).

NAVY

Lockheed Martin Tactical Defense Systems, Archbald, Pa., is being awarded a $15,480,000 letter contract for FY 97-98 procurement of 2,700 laser guided training rounds. These rounds are expendable training devices which allow for proper deployment of laser guided munitions. These particular rounds are used on A6E, F-14, and F/A-18 C/D aircraft. Work will be performed in Archbald, Pa., and is expected to be completed by January 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-98-C-0131).

Northrop Grumman Norden Systems, Inc., Melville, N.Y., is being awarded an $8,120,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-94-C-5441 for two low rate initial production SPQ-9B radar units. The SPQ-9B radar improvement is intended to enhance anti-ship missile defense capability by modifying existing AN/SPQ-9 shipboard radar. This is a

high performance pulse doppler surveillance radar for surface warfare Navy use against present and projected low altitude, high speed and small cross-section missile threats. Work will be performed in Melville, N.Y., and is expected to be completed in February 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a $5,853,488 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-96-C-0165 for the fabrication and delivery of communication, navigation, and survivability production kits for two VH-3D helicopters. Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed in September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
