NAVY

Boeing North American, Inc., Anaheim, Calif., is being awarded a $45,620,000 fixed-price-incentive, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide material and technical support services in support of TRIDENT I (C4) and TRIDENT II (D5) necessary to conduct an inertial equipment repair program for the ships inertial navigation system, electrostatically supported gyro monitors (ESGM) and electrostatically supported gyro navigators (ESGN) and related components. Boeing will also provide materials and technical support services for refurbishment/conversion of ESGNs, fabrication of ESG spinners, fabrication of electronic equipment console refurbishment/conversion material/assemblies and spares. Work will be performed in Anaheim, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 2001. Contract funds in the amount of $28,963,799 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Bill Strong Enterprises*, Inc., Mission, Kan., is being awarded a $9,406,554 firm-fixed-price contract for a revitalization project consisting of wholehouse repair and improvements to 95 housing units contained in 28 two-story pre-cast concrete buildings within Forrestal Village at Naval Training Center, Great Lakes. Ill. Work includes selective site demolition and new adjacent ganged garages complete with associated site work and earthwork, including driveways and sidewalks. Work will be performed in Great Lakes, Ill., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. ARMY

ICF Kaiser Engineers Inc., Fairfax, Va., is being awarded an $8,000,000 increment of a modification to a cost-plus-incentive-fee task order, awarded against an indefinite delivery/ indefinite quantity contract. The project is for environmental remediation of contamination in soil and groundwater at Southern Maryland Wood Treatment Site using a thermal treatment process, low temperature thermal desorption. Work will be performed in Hollywood, St. Mary's County, Md., and is expected to be completed by July 20, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on March 17, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Md. (DACA31-95-D-0083).

Landmark Construction Corp., Copperas Cove, Texas, is being awarded an $11,259,918 firm-fixed-price contract for revitalization of 328 housing dwelling units constructed in the early 1960s. The project consists of renovation of electrical in all units and bath upgrades in 156 units by converting one and one-half bath units to two full bath configuration. Exterior improvements include patio and privacy screens, sidewalks, trash enclosures, carports with bulk storage, energy conservation measures, new exterior utilities, and lighted community greenwalk. New bus stops are to be added and street signage improved. Site preparation and demolition will be accomplished as necessary. Work will be performed at Fort Sill, Okla., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 7, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Stone & Webster Environmental & Technology Services, New York, N.Y., is being awarded $500,000 as part of a not-to-exceed $330,000,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, cost reimbursement multi-year contract for the remediation of the Maywood Chemical Superfund Site. This contract is site specific and is under the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program. Work will be performed in Maywood, N.J., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 23, 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 201 bids solicited on Sept. 18, 1998, and six bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City, Mo. (DACW41-99-D-9001).

Environmental Chemical Corp.*, Burlingame, Calif., is being awarded $500,000 as part of a not-to-exceed $50,000,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, cost reimbursement multi-year contract for the remediation of the Wayne Superfund Site. This contract is site specific and is under the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program. Work will be performed in Wayne, N.J., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 23, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. General Electric Co., Cincinnati, Ohio was awarded on Dec. 22, an $18,756,257 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 107 Digital Electronic Controls applicable to the F110-GE-100B engine on the F-16C aircraft. The work is expected to be completed in Dec. 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. General Electric Co., Cincinnati, Ohio was awarded on Dec. 22 a $44,091,400 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for CY1999 Component Improvement Program (CIP) for the F101/F110/F118/J79 General Electric engines. The CIP provides contractor engineering and test support to address service-related operational problems and to reduce engine operating and support costs. The contractor shall develop improvements in durability, reliability, and maintainability in support of the aforementioned engines. Less than 1% of this effort supports foreign military sales to Egypt. The work is expected to be completed Dec. 1999. At this time, $15,284,500 of the contract funds have been obligated.
