ARMY

Aerojet, Azusa, Calif., was awarded on Sept. 17, 1999, a $14,300,000 modification to contract DAAE30-97-C-1005, to exercise the option requirement of low rate production of sense and destroy armor (SADARM). Work will be performed in Azusa, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated in April, 1996. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity.

Science Applications International Corp., San Diego, Calif., Technology Services Co., Pacific Technology Services Corp., San Diego, Calif., and McLean, Va., was awarded on Sept. 17, 1999, a $1,100,000 increment as part of an $11,710,816 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, with a cumulative total of $12,810,816, for systems engineering services. These services will assist the Defense Threat Reduction Agency and operational commands in developing, integrating, testing, applying, and evaluating systems responsive to operational needs. Work will be performed in Alexandria, Va. (33.3%); Arlington, Va. (33.3%); and McLean, Va. (33.3%), and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement in the Commerce Business Daily on April 16, 1999, and one bid was received. Swank Enterprises, Valier, Mont., is being awarded a $16,190,300 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an Armed Forces Reserve Center and a United States Property & Fiscal Office Warehouse. The 172,000 sq. foot primary facility will consist of drill hall space, administrative offices, classrooms, a kitchen, an indoor rifle range, supply rooms with vaults, an Organizational Maintenance Shop, and miscellaneous service areas typical to a military facility. The 18,000 sq. foot warehouse facility is joined to and is a part of the overall building and includes a covered loading dock, security caging, a vault, administrative areas, a carpentry shop, and locker rooms. Work will be performed in Helena, Mont., and is expected to be completed by March 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 82 bids solicited on July 26, 1999, and six bids were received. The National Guard Bureau, Helena, Mont., is the contracting activity (DAHA24-99-C-0005).

AIR FORCE

United Technologies Corp., West Palm Beach, Fla., is exercising an option to a previously awarded $214,636,551 firm-fixed-price with economic price adjustment requirements contract, F41608-97-D-0646-P00009, to provide for various quantities of 108 different rotating, fracture critical components applicable to the F100PW100/200/220/229 engines on the F-15 and F-16 aircraft. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. Expected contract completion date will be determined by issuance of orders expected to commence Sept. 20, 1999. Solicitation issue date was Jan. 15, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Sept. 4, 1997. San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity.

Pratt and Whitney San Antonio Inc., San Antonio, Texas, was awarded on Sept. 17, 1999 a $25,725,243 firm-fixed-price contract, F41608-99-D-0448, to provide for repair and overhaul of varying quantities of various modules applicable to the F100 series engines on the F-15 and F-16 aircraft. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This effort supports foreign military sales to Thailand and Taiwan. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date will be determined by issuance of orders expected to commence Sept. 17, 1999. Solicitation issue date was Jan. 20, 1999. Negotiation completion date was Sept. 14, 1999. San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity.

NAVY

McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded an $18,247,853 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-98-C-9114 for the procurement of two FY 99 flight simulators, two T-45 crew station hot mockups, and one year of sustaining effort for the T-45 ground training station. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo., and is expected to be completed by December 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Raytheon Systems Co., Naval and Maritime Systems Div., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $14,538,050 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-99-C-5108 for additional ship self defense system (SSDS) MK-2 equipment shipset in support of CVN 68. The SSDS implements an evolutionary development of improved ship self defense capabilities against high speed, low flying anti-ship cruise missiles for selected non-Aegis ships. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif. (90%), and Portsmouth, R.I. (10%), and is expected to be completed by June 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Oracle Corporation, Redwood City, Calif., is being awarded a $12,624,320 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a time and material pricing arrangement for research of advanced technologies for human and information system interaction infrastructure.

This contract contains one option, which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $15,226,270. There is a minimum guarantee of $1,294,607. Work will be performed in Herndon, Va., and is expected to be completed by September 2000. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured through the Commerce Business Daily under a Broad Agency Announcement. To date, 70 white papers have been received and 23 have been selected for award. ITT Night Vision, Roanoke, Va., is being awarded an $8,214,378 firm-fixed-price contract to procure 1,266 AN/AVS-9 night vision goggle systems and OMNI IV retrofit requirements for AN/AVS-6 night vision goggle systems. Work will be performed in Roanoke, Va., and is expected to be completed by March 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
