ARMY

TRW Inc., Data Technologies Division, Carson, Calif., is being awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order) with a cumulative total not-to-exceed $73,500,000 for technical support and computer programming services for the Software Development Center. Work will be performed at Ft. Lee, Va., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2002. There were 40 bids solicited on March 18, 1997, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-97-D-Y001).

Sparta Inc.*, Laguna Hills, Calif., is being awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order) with a cumulative total of $78,992,880, to provide engineering support for the Threat Simulator Management Office of the U.S. Army Project Manager for Instrumentation, Targets, and Threat Simulators (PMITTS). This procurement will provide essential support to the U.S. Army Threat Simulator (ATS) Program whose mission is to define, produce, and operate accurate simulators/simulations of foreign threat systems for use in technical testing, operational testing and training of Army systems during development. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala. (95%); and Laguna Hills, Calif. (5%), and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2002. There were 155 bids solicited on June 9, 1997, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-97-D-A005).

Nichols Research Corp., Huntsville, Ala., is being awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order) with a cumulative total of $85,498,967, to provide engineering support for the Threat Simulator Management Office of the U.S. Army Project Manager for Instrumentation, Targets, and Threat Simulators (PMITTS). Kato Corp.*, Spokane, Wash., is being awarded an $11,788,548 firm-fixed-price contract to renovate four of six existing 3700 Block Barracks, to include asbestos and lead abatement; renovation of interiors of buildings to include living spaces with closets and amenities such as individual storage, washer/dryer hookups, vending machines; replacement of heating, electrical, communications systems and fire protections systems and construction of peaked roofs. Work will be performed at Fort Lewis, Wash., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 225 bids solicited on May 27, 1997, and eight bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle, Wash. (DACA67-97-C-2000).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Forsgren Associates/Brown and Caldwell, a joint venture, Sacramento, Calif., is being awarded $80,000 as part of a not-to-exceed $20,000,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, cost-reimbursable type, multi-year contract for engineering and environmental investigative services for projects related to investigation of hazardous waste sites at active and inactive military installations, formerly-used defense sites, and civilian sites. The project will include preliminary assessment surveys, environmental assessment surveys, environmental risk assessment reports, and non-intrusive investigation including surface and near-surface sampling and analysis, etc. Work will be performed at various locations inside and outside of the continental United States, and is expected to be completed by Aug. 26, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 115 bids solicited on Dec. 11, 1996, and eight bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, Calif. (DACW05-97-D-0038).

AIR FORCE

ITT Federal Services Corp., Colorado Springs, Colo., is being awarded a $33,363,621 face value increase to a cost-plus-incentive-fee contract to provide for FY 1998 system operation and maintenance support for the Western Range. This includes design and implementation of improvements and modernization to accommodate future requirements. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The 30th Contracting Squadron, Vandenberg AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04684-96/C-0038, P00066).

PRC, Inc., McLean, Va., is being awarded a $5,365,394 face value increase to a fixed-price-incentive contract to provide for FY 1998 operation, maintenance, and logistical support of the Ground-Based Electro Optical Deep Space Surveillance System (GEODDS). the work will

be performed at GEODDS Site 1, Soccoro, N.M. (28%), GEODDS Site 3, Maui, Hawaii (31%), and at other locations. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The 21st Contracting Squadron, Peterson AFB, Colo., is the contracting activity (F05604-96/C-9004, P00006).

NAVY

Digital System Resources, Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $29,461,634 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the procurement of engineering services and support, materials, and spare and repair parts to design and build approximately 14 variant configurations of Multipurpose Processors (MPPs). The MPP is a processor that operates within an open system architecture using Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and non-development items (NDI) hardware and software and is intended to be used in submarine sonar systems. This contract will develop and produce hardware and software for processor configurations that are based on the MPP. Each configuration will be know as an Altered Multipurpose Processor (A-MPP). Work will be performed in Fairfax, Va. (75%), Manassas, Va. (19%), and the remaining work (6%) will be determined at a later date. The expected completion date is by December 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-96-C-6231).
